Today was my first day of working with Liberty Fairs. Before I get into that; lets talk about my interview with NYFW (New York Fashion Week).
So my interview was at 11am with a lady named Ms. Katie. It wasn’t only me, it was a group interview…. Talk about nervous! I was so nervous; the interview was for only 2-3 mins and every time I was asked a question I said no more than 2 words lol Ms.Katie – “David! What are some things you can contribute working for NYFW?” Me- “Patience and being a team player” (insert awkward smile here). Pretty sure I didn’t get the position but either way I’ll be at Fashion Week.
Liberty fairs is a men’s wear trade show. Something that I’m very excited to be apart of. I arrived at Pier 94 at 1pm and got settled in. First thing was orientation where they spoke about Liberty Fairs, after we broke Into our groups and took a small tour around the Pier we started getting to work. What I wore wasn’t for working lol. I wore my Christian Dior double breasted suit, turtle neck with a collar shirt showing, a vest over the blazer, some Adidas and my overcoat. Not a working mans outfit but I got it done like a champ. After we worked, around 5pm we received our uniforms. Man was I happy about seeing these pieces. All we were missing were the shoes but not complaining at all. This is definitely a huge opportunity for me and my future.
