The Rose Review Wine Tasting Event
I’m very excited to start 2016 in a great and positive way. Back in winter 2015, I made a goal to get certified in event planning and put together between 8-12 events for 2016. I got my certification and my next goal was to put together my first 2016 event.
On Friday, May 6th, I had the pleasure of hosting a wine tasting event called “The Rose Review” at Whole Foods Market – Voss. Guest in attendance were welcomed to enjoy 6 hand selected bottles of Rose that ranged from various countries such as Australia, France, Italy, South Africa and Corsica. Sarah Brenner a Certified Wine Specialist was in attendance to answer all questions guest had about wine for the evening. The event was filled with networking, laughter, education on different notes in the wine, smells, taste and which bottle of Rose attendees enjoyed the most.
Who doesn’t love a nice glass of wine; Red, White or a Rose? I always wanted to put together a wine tasting event for the experience. You mix like-minded individuals, great music, wine and it’s destined to be a great time. With Rose being in season starting in the spring time. I thought it would be a great time to bring people out and celebrate life.
My favorite for the evening was the Mulderbosch Rose from South Africa. I enjoyed how refreshing and crisp it tasted, the first sip to the last sip was the same and how I didn’t have an unpleasant after taste. Roses are a very versatile type of wine; you can pair with just about anything and drink it any time of the year. It doesn’t improve with age like reds and whites; so it’s best to chill it and drink it asap.
If you’re in the market to try a new wine or to try a new Rose wine; head to your nearest Whole Foods Market and try any one of these 6 bottles of Rose.
