Summer Shorts for Men
Ahhh man! I can’t believe I’m writing about summer shorts, felt like a few months ago I was writing about winter items. Anyway I guess that’s how it goes, one day you’re talking about fall and winter and you wake up talking about spring and summer items. Sorry for the rant…. Summer shorts come in all lengths, colors, shapes (for those who enjoy the classic Speedo) and price points. For this post, I wanted to give my top 5 summer swim shorts at different price points for everyone to enjoy.
Not everyone can or wants to spend hundreds of dollars on a pair of shorts you’ll wear for a few months. But one way to look at it is, it will be an investment. We as guys don’t really shop a lot, if we have a good pair of shorts we’ll wear for a while until our girlfriends, moms or our own intuition says something like “Hey! I think you need some new swim shorts”. Until that happens we’re stuck wearing our swim shorts we bought from 4 years ago. Honestly! I need some new swim shorts.
Top 5 Men’s Swim Shorts:
- H&M – 5′ Floral Swim Shorts – $17.99
- Gap – 10′ Colorblock Board Shorts – $44.95
- UO – 5.75′ Globe Slice Pool Shorts – $69
- Sid Mashburn – Aspesi Positano Swim Trunk – $175
- Saint Laurent – Tiger Print Mid-Length Swim Shorts – $535
1.H&M – I guess we can consider these floral shorts right. I like how the purple and the green contrast each other. One of my favorite colors is purple, the rich and strong color pairs well with the green. These shorts give me a summer time vibe, I wouldn’t mind wearing these for a couple years.
2.Gap – Not a crazy fan of board shorts, only because they same like pre-teens should be the only age group to wear them. They are too long for me with the length hitting the top of the knee. I personally like to show a little thigh with my shorts, but I know everyone can’t rock the thigh out.
3.UrbanOutfitters – Nothing wrong with having fun and showing your personality with rocking some watermelon or pattern swim shorts. Have fun it’s summer time, before you know it, you’ll be in your home with cabin fever.
4.SidMashburn – Want to stand out for all the right reasons? Wear a pair of bright colored sporty Italian swim shorts any time in the summer and you’ll get all the right attention. At first glanced I thought they were everyday shorts, I guess that’s a good thing to be versatile. Throw on a t-shirt, sunglasses and a pair of white Tretorn sneakers and you’ll be all set and stylish.
5.Saint Laurent – It’s a true investment when purchasing anything from Saint Laurent, but these camouflage tiger stripped swim shorts can set you up for the win. Very subtle, clean and dope; you can’t go wrong with these even if you did spend a cool $500 on them.
