Brand In Review: SUNHOUSE
When I first arrived at Pitti Uomo, my first visit was to the Touch Pavillion section. Touch Pavillion is a platform for the most contemporary man’s wardrobe with cutting edge styles. With over 100 vendors some of the other brands included DRKN, BePositive, Casbia and Yuekten to name a few. This is where I was introduced to Sunhouse clothing, a tailored knitwear brand made in Italy.
The first thing you notice when looking at a Sunhouse garment are the patterns. Very unique and innovative with fabrics and pattern choices. What I love most is that you can take a sports coat and wear it for a formal setting and relaxed for a casual night out. Living in Houston and in the States, you need a sports coat that has flexibility, comfortable and that is versatile for any particular weather and occasion.
This would be a great everyday jacket because of the no canvas and unlined aspect of the jacket. A few different ways I would sport a jacket is business casual and casual. Formal would also be great, but that’s almost a given. For a business casual look, I would throw on a pair of dark washed jeans rolled up, espresso brown chukka boots, a chambray dress shirt (similar to the bottom photo) with no tie with two buttons open and a great pair of sunglasses and watch. My second look would be a casual one, a pair of chinos (chino color depends on the sports coat), my favorite t-shirt either a graphic tee or solid tee and how else would you dress down a formal jacket? By throwing on some sneakers, New Balance, Chucks, Stan Smith, Tretorn are awesome which you can’t go wrong or you can still throw on some double monks for a sharp casual look.
