Stay cool in your Summer whites.
In the words of Will Smith “Summer, summer, summertime – Time to sit back and unwind.” That’s exactly how summertime should be, but unfortunately, that’s not always the case. Let’s be honest, the best time for fashion is always fall, winter, and spring. Then there’s summertime, which means us guys turn down our style to beat the heat and stay cool. But that shouldn’t be the case, hot weather should be the time where we go all out and bring our style front and center. Staying comfortable is easy, there is nothing stylish about flip-flops, cargo shorts, and a t-shirt.
A way for us guys to stand out is by the fabrics, and the colors we choose. Light and breathable fabrics are “major key” DJ Khaled’s voice, we should go for linen, silk, cotton, wool or a blend of two of these options. I believe choosing the right colors for summer will be a great benefit to you and how much you sweat. Staying on top of colors and color trends are always a plus, for example, summer colors for 2017 are gray, beige, green to neutral browns, turquoise, orange to red, grayed light blue and yellowish beige, for more color trends click here.
One color that’s always great to wear after Memorial Day is white. When the sun is at its hottest and the temperature is high, nothing keeps you cooler than wearing white tones. I won’t be able to continue without stating, white is a dirt magnet so be careful when pulling off an all white fit. Whether you’re attending a rooftop party in Los Angeles, NYC, Miami or any other city, make sure to stay cool and stylish in your summer whites.
