The Importance of Men taking care of their feet featuring Nail Garden
Let’s cut to the chase people, we’re all on our feet for the majority of our days. Working 8,9,10+ hours a day puts a lot of stress on your feet. Being a guy, there is a huge stigma with getting a pedicure, and I ask why? Actually, let me start from the beginning, an ex-girlfriend of mine took me to get my first pedicure back in 2010 or so. I was a little uncomfortable because my feet were pretty gross. Playing basketball honestly made my feet not pretty; not that I want pretty feet but still. I was never one to walk around in my chancletas with no socks. So I got my first pedicure but still felt a little weird after. I wouldn’t say I’m a complete pro at getting pedicures but it’s needed.
It’s essential for men and women to take care of their feet, and also it’s a great way to pamper ourselves after our long days. With getting a pedicure you can either do it at home or go to the professionals; I advise, if it’s your first time, go to the professionals. I recently was invited out by Marianne Tadros of Nail Garden to come and experience their new shop. Now as earlier stated, this would be my third time getting a pedicure, my second was after my trip to Italy which was in January.
The first thing to expect when receiving your first pedicure; is your feet will be soaked in warm water for the entire pedicure, which helps soften your feet. Second, your nails will be clipped. Third, a foot scrub will be used to get all the dead skin from under and around your feet. Last but not least, your cuticles will be pushed back and your nails will be filed and shaped. Now depending on where you go, for a higher price, some special treatment can be added to your pedicure; as in foot massage, and hot towels, which is needed. After your pedicure, your feet will look, feel and smell great.
I highly suggest all men get at least one pedicure in their lifetimes. You can go with friends, bachelor party, with your significant other or alone. Who know’s after your first visit you might end up as being a regular.
