Living my best life at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas
Leading up to my Vegas trip, I started watching a lot of Vegas inspired movies. I watched Casino with Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, and Sharon Stone. After Casino, I watched Sleepless with Jamie Foxx, Michelle Monaghan, and T.I. After Casino and Sleepless I wanted to go another route and went with The Hangover with Justin Bartha, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis. I guess I wanted to get a feel for what to expect in Vegas. But I wasn’t done there; I went to music next and probably heard every Frank Sinatra song I could and got introduced to “Pennies from Heaven” from the 1930’s by Arthur Johnston.
When you think of Vegas you think of the Strip, gambling, slot machines, different shows, top hotels, and Chefs. Which is all true; Vegas has some of the greatest Chefs, restaurants, and hotels. The length of the Strip is 4.2 miles and you could find almost everything on it, good or bad. Walking the strip could be a little overwhelming for your first time as it was for me, but I couldn’t complain. I got a room for one night at Caesars Palace, because that was one of the first places Frank Sinatra would perform back in the day.
With almost 4,000 rooms and attractions such as The Colosseum and The Forum Shops; Caesars Palace is a very big place. My room was on the 39th floor of the Augustus Tower, which overlooked the Las Vegas Strip. Entering my suite was one of my greatest experience in Las Vegas, everything seemed so luxurious from the towels to the carpet to the decor. After settling into my room and staring out the window for about 10mins, I got ready and headed out on my Vegas adventures. Personally, I think Vegas is a great trip with friends and family. But traveling alone always gives me a clarity and understanding that life is precious and we should accomplish all of our goals and dreams.
