Visiting 100-year-old Santa Monica Pier In Santa Monica, California
Staying one day in Las Vegas was enough for me. I really wanted to get to Los Angeles as quickly as possible, but couldn’t. I purchased a bus ticket from Vegas to LAX and the bus ride would have taken 5hours, from 2-7pm. Unfortunately, I missed that bus and had to buy a second bus ticket from 6-11pm. Catching the bus and being able to watch the sunset on the mountains was incredible. It was honestly a surreal moment; from my 39th view at Caesars Palace, I had a view of the mountains and on my bus ride to LAX I was able to view the sunset on them.
My last trip to LAX was in 2007 and 10 years later I’m back, but as a men’s fashion blogger. What I remember from my first trip was walking around Downtown LAX, visiting Rodeo Drive, walking Beverly Hills and Beverly Center, and driving through Pasadena and visiting Santa Monica. Now LAX is a beautiful city, with beautiful people and weather but Santa Monica is something completely different. Staying that Santa Monica is different is an understatement, it’s something you really have to witness yourself. One of the best parts of visiting Santa Monica was taking a 2-hour bike ride along the beach coast. I never experienced anything so beautiful in my life; I started from the pier and passed Venice Beach, Dockweiler Beach, Manhattan Beach and back to the pier.
Style in LAX is laid back, easy, comfortable and of course stylish. I wanted to be on trend but also be mature in style. Bowling shirts or resort shirts have been a hot fashion item for this year (2017) and I wanted to pair my H&M resort shirt with some clean white shorts, and some cognac colored monk straps. Just like LAX style is easy, comfortable, confident and clean. Being able to enjoy life and to be yourself to is the secret.
