A guide to being different and stylish at your 2018 New Years Eve party while wearing blue jeans.
Disclaimer! Wearing blue jeans to a New Years Eve party might be considered rude. If you’re attending a black tie event with a strict dress code; follow the dress code, but be different by sporting a plaid tartan pants instead of black tuxedo pants. For more on how to wear tartan pants click here.
Now that we got that out of the way, wearing blue jeans to an NYE party can be fun, semi-formal and stylish. Being different takes confidence (another disclaimer, if you’re new to FromNewYorktoTexas, Welcome! I thank you for reading this. Also I’m big on self-confidence). Having confidence in yourself allows you to pull anything off, and I mean anything.
First tip, as I mentioned earlier I wouldn’t wear denim to any NYE party. Not all parties would let you in. There are a few occasions on where I would, starting with, If I’m hosting my own party of course I’d wear what I want. Second occasion would be if a really close friend of mine invited me to there NYE party.
The second tip, I wouldn’t wear any type of denim either. Not all denim look good, especially if they’re a few years old and look it. Quality denim is what we should be investing in after the age of 25. When purchasing denim look to invest in something form fitting in a slim or slim straight cut and yes for you Southern guys out there, you can wear boots with slim or slim straight jeans.
The third and final tip is…. when walking into any NYE party, remember to own that room. Have the confidence of Kanye West and James Bond combine.
